The playful colored birds including the Great Pied Hornbill, Golden Oriole, Emerald Dove, Pompadour Pigeon, Common Grey Hornbill, Forest Wagtail, Black Crested Bulbul, Olive-backed Pipit, Jungle Owlet and the state bird of Goa, Ruby-throatedYellow Bulbul. There are different species of animals including the various types of snakes like Indian Cobra, Russel’s Viper, Indian Rock Python, Common Krait and King Cobra. There are also a wide variety of fluttery butterflies including the Blue Mormon, Lime Butterfly, Plum Judy and a lot more. The other animals are Giant Squirrel, Lepidopterist, Deer, Sambar, Spotted, Hog, Tamil Yeoman, Barking Deer, Jungle Cat, Malabar Tree Nymph, Indian Civet, Toddy Cat, Sambar and a lot of other.

The Fauna of the place includes a rich vegetation cover and a number of plant species. The West Coast Semi-Evergreen Forests and The Moist Deciduous Forests are found in the region with trees like Xylia, Terminalia, Lagerstroemia with 722 species of flowering plants and 128 species of plants that crown the beauty of the Sanctuary spread in an area of about 240 so. and add on to the pristine vegetation and forest cover of India.
