One of the globe’s most iconic electronic dance music festivals, Tomorrowland, is officially making its way to Asia — marking a historic milestone for EDM enthusiasts across the continent. After years of anticipation, the festival will first launch a fully immersive experience in China, followed by a large-scale celebration in Thailand.

Picture a euphoric blend of pulsating techno beats, vibrant visuals, a sea of elated fans, and lights dancing across the night sky — this is not just another concert; this is Tomorrowland. Known for redefining live music with its spellbinding production and unmatched energy, Tomorrowland is now stepping onto Asian soil for the first time ever.

Inspired by the legendary Belgian edition, the Asia chapter of the festival will kick off in two locations: Thailand and China. The journey begins with a spectacular one-night showcase titled “The Magic of Tomorrowland”, set to take place on November 22, 2025, in Shanghai.

Hosted at the futuristic Hero Dome, nestled along Shanghai’s picturesque Bund waterfront, this indoor extravaganza will immerse attendees in a dreamlike realm where music, light, and fantasy come alive under a single roof. Expect dazzling visuals, next-level stagecraft, and performances by top-tier DJs and artists from around the world.

Though the artist lineup is still under wraps, excitement is already building. Tickets for this groundbreaking event are expected to go live in September 2025, giving fans a chance to be part of what promises to be one of the most electrifying nights in Asia’s musical calendar.

Tomorrowland in Thailand

One of the most celebrated global music festivals is all set to make its grand entrance into Asia. Tomorrowland will bring its full-scale experience to Chonburi, Thailand, in December 2026, marking a new era for music and culture in the region.

Mirroring its iconic Belgian roots, the Thai edition will feature elaborate themed villages, exclusive VIP offerings, multiple immersive stages, and a stellar lineup of international performers. What sets this apart is the fusion of Tomorrowland’s grandeur with authentic Thai culture, local sounds, and artistic essence—creating a truly unique atmosphere. This landmark event not only amplifies Thailand’s cultural spotlight globally but also promises to significantly boost tourism.

Located near Bangkok, Chonburi is a scenic coastal province with easy access via multiple international airports. With its sun-kissed beaches, bustling street food scenes, and tranquil landscapes, it offers a picture-perfect backdrop for this musical phenomenon.

Shifting Travel Landscape

The expansion of Tomorrowland into Southeast Asia will significantly add on to the already rising travel and tourism sector in the region. Thailand ranks amongst the top destination choice for travellers, be it for solo trips, bachelorettes, family vacations or honeymoons.

Emerging travel trends also highlight how new-age travellers are aspiring for experiential travel. It includes tourism driven by concerts, sports, festivals, and local experiences.

About Tomorrowland

Tomorrowland has grown into a worldwide sensation since its humble beginnings. Launched in 2005 by brothers Manu and Michiel Beers in the small Belgian town of Boom, the festival has transformed into an unparalleled celebration of electronic dance music. Over the years, it has attracted a massive global audience, with fans travelling from across continents to be part of the magic. Tickets are in such high demand that they vanish within minutes of release.

Now celebrating 20 remarkable years, Tomorrowland has become much more than just a music event — it’s a cultural movement. With over 16 uniquely themed stages and performances by hundreds of world-renowned DJs, the festival brings together a diverse crowd, uniting people from all corners of the world in a spectacular fusion of sound, light, and shared experience.

The concept for bringing Tomorrowland to Thailand was first explored between 2015 and 2019 but was put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Its revival under the current government’s renewed focus on tourism promotion marks a significant milestone for the country’s events industry.
