Solang Valley

Soland Valley is a canal which lies between Solang (a village) and Beas Kund. It is only 14-kms away from Manali. According to local Kullu natives, Vashistha Muni urged Lord Shiva to control the lightning to save the world from destruction and Lord Shiva accepted his prayers and controlled it. For marking this incident, a temple was constructed on this site known as “Bijli Mahadev.”
The temple is about 50 km away from Manali and takes 90-100 minutes to reach. The journey to the temple includes 3-km Manhat mountain foot trekking.

Great Himalaya National Park

With Great Himalaya National Park in the vicinity, there is a lot to explore in Manali. One of the incredible and eye-catching spots around Manali is the Great Himalayan National Park. This national park covers 1,171 km area and homes a wide variety of Flora and Fauna.
